Two 16-week clinical trials tested the efficacy and safety of RINVOQ in over 1,600 people with moderate to severe eczema.

In these trials, RINVOQ helped provide:

  • Some felt significantly less itch as early as 2 days after first dose
  • Many felt significantly less itch at 16 weeks

  • Some saw 75% skin clearance as early as 2 weeks—many at 16 weeks
  • Some even saw 100% skin clearance at 16 weeks
  • Many saw clear or almost-clear skin at 16 weeks
Long-Term Results
  • In another study of RINVOQ, many patients had clearer skin, and many had less itch, even at 3 years.*

In Study 1, 12% of patients on placebo, 52% on 15mg of Rinvoq, and 60% on 30mg of Rinvoq. In Study 2, 9% of patients on placebo, 42% on 15mg of Rinvoq, and 60% on 30mg of Rinvoq.

In Study 1, 4% of patients on placebo, 38% on 15mg of Rinvoq, & 47% on 30mg of Rinvoq. In Study 2, 4% of patients on placebo, 33% on 15mg of Rinvoq, & 44% on 30mg of Rinvoq.

Clear or almost-clear skin at 16 weeks

In Study 1, 8% of patients on placebo, 48% on 15mg of Rinvoq, and 62% on 30mg of Rinvoq. In Study 2, 5% of patients on placebo, 39% on 15mg of Rinvoq, and 52% on 30mg of Rinvoq.

The approved starting dose for RINVOQ is 15 mg. In certain cases, your doctor may consider increasing to 30 mg. Your doctor will prescribe the dose that's right for you. Take RINVOQ exactly as prescribed.

Safety Considerations

RINVOQ may cause serious side effects, including:

  • Serious infections. RINVOQ can lower ability to fight infections. Serious infections, some fatal, occurred, including tuberculosis (TB) and infections caused by bacteria, fungi, or viruses.
  • Increased risk of death in people age 50+ with at least 1 heart disease risk factor.
  • Cancer and immune system problems. Increased risk of some cancers, including lymphoma and skin. Current or past smokers have higher risk for lymphoma and lung cancer.
  • Increased risk of major cardiovascular events such as heart attack, stroke, or death in people 50+ with at least 1 heart disease risk factor, especially in current or past smokers.
  • Blood clots, some fatal, in veins of the legs or lungs and arteries. This occurred more often in people 50+ with at least 1 heart disease risk factor.
  • Serious allergic reactions. Do not take if allergic to RINVOQ or its ingredients.
  • Tears in the stomach or intestines; changes in certain laboratory test results.
