VO: A garden is an intricate balance of systems working together in harmony.

When that balance is off, the harmony can be upset, and the garden’s health can be affected.

Your body is very much like a garden.

When you’re healthy, inflammation is one of your body’s defenses against things that can hurt you or make you sick.

Ezcema (or atopic dermatitis) is driven by inflammation. With this condition, your immune system is overactive, throwing it off balance.

The result of too much inflammation can be the relentless itch and rash of eczema.

Let’s take a look beneath the surface at overactive immune cells within your skin.

While the exact cause of eczema is unknown, different proteins called cytokines are thought to play a role in the inflammation contributing to symptoms like eczema’s itch and rash.

These cytokines send signals through pathways that use other proteins called Janus kinases, or JAKs, to pass the signals inside your cells.

If you have eczema, these pathways, including JAKs, can be overstimulated. This can contribute to too much inflammation.

RINVOQ is for people 12+ years with moderate to severe atopic dermatitis (AD) who did not respond to previous treatment and are not well controlled using other pills or injections, including biologics.

Please see Important Safety Information, including BOXED WARNING on Serious Infections, Increased Risk of Death, Cancer, Major Cardiovascular Events and Blood Clots in video and on this web page.

When you have too much inflammation, RINVOQ may help regulate your overactive immune system.

RINVOQ is a JAK inhibitor, meaning it works within your immune system to help block the activity of some JAK proteins that are thought to contribute to excess inflammation.

RINVOQ has been proven to help reduce the itch and rash of eczema.

In clinical trials of people with moderate to severe eczema, RINVOQ helped deliver dramatic results—fast.

Some people felt significantly less itch as early as 2 days after their first dose.

Some achieved dramatic skin clearance as early as two weeks.

Many saw clear or almost-clear skin.

And some saw 100% skin clearance.

In another study of RINVOQ, many patients had clearer skin and less itch, even at 3 years.
