Elizabeth: Avid fisher & crafter who found RA joint pain relief

Music track and RINVOQ logo throughout.

ELIZABETH: My name is Elizabeth. I have moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis.

My granddad used to take me fishing at a place a lot like this. So, it’s been a part of my life forever.

Because of the joint pain in my hands and my feet my life was so limited. Getting up and down the stairs was ridiculously hard. I couldn’t be adventurous with my kids.

When my symptoms got so bad that I couldn’t even knit more than 1 row of a sweater, I realized it was time for a change.

It was always a goal of mine to be able to get back into the spinning and making my own yarn. And my rheumatologist was all about that. You know, if something wasn’t working, they wanted to hear about it. So, when I had tried other medications, like HUMIRA and ENBREL, and they just couldn’t manage all of my symptoms I really wanted to try something different.

So, my rheumatologist suggested trying RINVOQ. I was really pleasantly surprised when, for me, I started noticing a difference within a couple of weeks.

My hands weren’t as painful. And I could see that my knuckles were not huge. Not having that pain all the time is like a weight—it literally—a weight off your shoulders.

Taking RINVOQ, I don’t live my life around my disease. I just manage my disease and live my life. And it just gave me back me.
